Kyle Wayne Atkinson, Sr., 77, of Roanoke went home to be with the Lord on March 18, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Atkinson and Ruby Bradley Barton.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Linda S. Atkinson; children, Kay Brown (Marty), Sandra Fike (Kevin), Wayne Atkinson (Ruby), and Lisa Woods; step-children, John and Samantha Brown and Tabitha Fraizer (Billy); grandchildren, Stephanie &  Zachary Myers, Amanda Rider, Matthew Laughter, Scott Fike, Kristofer & Cody Atkinson, Joseph Fielder; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Don Atkinson (Mary); and many cousins friends and extended family.

Kyle was a friendly and hard-working man. It was in his nature to be helpful to people. He worked in construction for over 60 years and made all kinds of friends. He loved to shoot pool and go fishing with his grandsons. He loved traveling, especially driving road trips and looking at covered bridges. Above all he loved being with his family and will be missed by everyone.

Graveside inurnment service will be at Hillcrest cemetery in Blue Ridge, VA on April 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.
