Kristopher Gray Browning of Elliston, Virginia, passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, at the age of 47 after a long hard fight with cancer.

Kristopher is predeceased by his parents, Lloyd Kendall Browning and Linda Ruth Wade Keelean; and his grandmother, Helen Childress.

Kristopher was a free spirit who was very passionate about music. He traveled all over to see the Avett Brothers in concert and has seen them more than 20 times. Kristopher never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He loved his bacon almost as much as he loved the Dallas Cowboys. He was also a great role model to his nieces and nephews, whom he helped raise as his own. Kristopher had an enormous heart and was a loving person who was loved by all that knew him.

Those left to cherish Kristopher's memory are his loving sister, Lira C. Moore and her husband Richard Thornhill; his half-brothers, Kenny and Phillip Browning; his stepbrother, Jeremy Keelean and his wife Billie; niece, Rebecca Sander; nephew, Kristopher Moore; his favorite cousin, Kara Patterson, and her sons, Connor and David; and his dear friends, including Elizabeth Parsons and Emily Seeder. A special thank you to Avett Community for the love and dedication towards the family during these tough times.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at Elizabeth's home on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 2 p.m.
