Kenneth Scott Michael, affectionately known as "Scott", age 53, of Rocky Mount, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2025, in Salem, Virginia. He was born on September 30, 1971, in Hampton, Virginia, to the late Charles E. Michael, Sr., and Beatrice W. Michael.

Scott was a beloved and dedicated nurse at Salem Health and Rehabilitation Center. His love for people was exhibited by the care he provided to his residents. He took great pride in being the voice for those who were unable to be a voice for themselves. The love he shared for people went beyond a professional capacity and was extended to anyone he encountered, especially those in need. Scott was also an avid music fan who enjoyed listening to all genres of music. He loved music! In addition to his love of music, he also enjoyed reading literature, camping, and, most recently, his newfound interest, fly fishing.

Those left to cherish his memory are his brother, Charles "Chuck" Michael, Jr., and his wife, Michelle; nephew, Brian Michael; a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins; the staff and residents of Salem Health and Rehabilitation Center, who were like family to him.

Scott was one of a kind and will be greatly missed by all who knew him!
