Julia Darlene Parker, 71, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2026. Born on March 25, 1954, in Roanoke, Julia lived a life filled with love, kindness, and devotion to her family and community.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Frances Parker, as well as her sisters Teresia Henritze, Kathy Parker, and Dorothy Parker.

Julia dedicated 28 years of her career to Carilion Clinic before retiring. Her work ethic and commitment left a lasting impression on those she worked with. Outside of her professional life, Julia was known for her vibrant personality and zest for life. She loved to travel and often enjoyed taking bus trips to explore new places. Her beloved cats brought her great joy and companionship over the years. As a proud member of the Red Hat Society, Julia cherished the camaraderie and friendships she built within the group.

A devoted member of Hollins Road Baptist Church, Julia's faith was central to her life. She found strength and purpose in serving others and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her kind and bubbly spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. To know Julia was truly to love her.

Julia's greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her son, Damon Weeks (Nicole); granddaughters, Alisa Weeks and Ryann Weeks; great-granddaughter, Marceline Saunders; her sister, Sharon Dillon (Gary); and many nieces and nephews.

Julia's memory will be cherished by all who knew her. Her unwavering love for her family—especially for her son, grandchildren, and great-grandchild—was evident in everything she did. Her legacy of kindness and joy will live on in their hearts forever.

As we reflect on Julia's life, we are reminded of the words from Matthew 25:23: "Well done, good and faithful servant." May these words bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
