Joyce Giles Kegley, age 83 departed this life on May 23, 2022, at Friendship Health and Rehabilitation. On June 11, 1938, Joyce was born in Roanoke, VA, to the late Richard McGuire Giles, Sr., and Cora Bell Wooldridge Giles.
Joyce was a graduate of Jefferson High School. She worked at Stone Printing for many years and later worked for The Home Shopping Network and retired in 1994. She was a dedicated and active member of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church until her decline in health. Joyce was a wonderful companion and caregiver for her mother. She also had a special love for animals, especially dogs. She spent the remainder of her life at Friendship Manor Health and Rehab where she was cared for with respect and compassion.
In addition to her parents, Richard McGuire Giles, Sr., and Cora Bell Woolridge Giles; Joyce was preceded in death by her brothers, Richard McGuire, Jr. and Ronald Eugene Giles.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Carolyn Giles Filson; nephews, James (Angela) Wooten, Jr., and Larry Cothran; great-nephew, Steven Wooten; great-nieces, Chelsey Wooten, Samantha Wooten, Abbey Cothran; special friend, Donna Young and a host of other friends and relatives.
