Mrs. Joyce Allen Bass, of Roanoke passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the age of 78. She was preceded in death by her parents, Asa R. and Catherine Ophelia Dunn Allen; her husband of over 30 years, Robert H. Bass; one grandchild, one great-grandchild; and two siblings.

She is survived by her children, Richard E. Eubanks Sr. and his wife, Christy, Charles E. Eubanks and his wife, Junko Morrison, Wendy Eubanks and David A. Widener and his wife, Kellie; 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Everyone who knew Joyce will miss her. She was a loving and caring woman. She was known as "Ma" to everyone during her younger years. Her home was always a gathering spot for all of her children and their friends and those who lived as neighbors to them, she was the neighborhood Ma . She never turned anyone away. She was an easy person to know, simple, honest, trustworthy, beloved . She made New Grace Baptist church her home, and she will be missed by all those she loved.
