Johnny Edward Catron, of Salem, passed away on May 2, 2022, at the age of 74.

Johnny is preceded in death by his father, John Catron, Sr.; his mother, Delphia Catron; and his sister, Betty Tiedemann.

Johnny owned a company called Advanced Plumbing and Heating. Johnny loved shooting pool, playing golf, and attending auctions and yard sales. He loved watching sports, especially golf and football. Johnny loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time with them at family events. He enlisted in the army during the Vietnam War but luckily was not sent to fight.

Those left to cherish Johnny's memory are his wife, Vivian Diane Catron; his children, Chris, Jeff, Kevin, Lisa, Josh, and Maddy; his 5 grandchildren; his brother, Jeff Hurley, and his wife, Vicky; his brother-in-law, Bob Tiedemann; special niece, Dee Horne, and her husband, Cliff; special nephew, Russel Farris, Jr.; and special friends, Dell Williams and Scotty Wright.

A memorial service to commemorate Johnny's life will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Salem Family Moose Lodge #2573 (1409 E. Main St. Salem, Virginia 24153). The family will be receiving friends from 12:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.
