John David Price, passed away on July 13, 2023, in Troutville, VA. Born on November 10, 1941, in Johnstown, PA, to the late Gilbert Leroy Price and the late Dorothy Louise Page Price. John led a life full of passion and interests.

John had a natural talent for repairing broken things, whether it was a cash register or an old car. John was a devoted National Cash Register Repair Tech for many years. He was a dedicated professional and brought joy to those he served. He took pride in working on a small farm, raising cattle, and tending to a beautiful garden. His loyal Dalmatian dog was his constant companion, sharing in his joy and adventures.

In his leisure time, John enjoyed attending baseball and hockey games, and his enthusiasm for old cars was unmatched. He could quickly identify any make and model, impressing those around him with his knowledge.

John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Phyllis Kay McCreary Price; his daughters, Patricia Elaine Perdue and Christine Dawn Curry; his parents; and his sister, Loretta Price Harmon.

Left to cherish his memory are his devoted son, John Daniel "Danny" Price, and his adored grandchildren, Chase Curry, twins Alex Perdue and Kylie Perdue, and Will Price.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date to honor John's life and achievements.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to Alzheimer's research in remembrance of John.

John David Price will forever be remembered for his skilled hands, warm heart, and deep love for his family, friends, and canine companion. May he rest in eternal peace, knowing he touched the lives of many with his kindness and knowledge.
