John Norris Hicks passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023, in Roanoke. John was born on December 19, 1960, in Roanoke, Virginia, to Aubrey M. Hicks, Sr. and Mary E. Hicks, both of whom proceed him in death.

John dedicated 30 years of his life as an employee of Singh Enterprises. John showed kindness throughout his life and cared for people deeply. John was an avid lover of cats and had many cherished cats and birds.

He is survived by his brothers, Aubrey M. Hicks, Jr. (Linda), and Jerry L. Hicks; his beloved cat, Maxx; and many wonderful friends who greatly cared for each other.

In accordance with John's wishes, there will be no formal services.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Angels of Assisi, where John adopted his beloved Maxx.

John's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
