Joan Lee Dotson, 82, of Vinton, was born on December 24, 1940, and entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 24, 2023. Joan's life was a tapestry woven with a love for simple pleasures and cherished moments.

A fan of NASCAR and Drag Racing, Joan reveled in the excitement of speed and her heart raced alongside the engines. Her skilled hands crafted beauty through the art of crochet. Her love for food was evident in her passion for both savoring and creating delicious dishes for her family to enjoy.

Joan is reunited with her father, Ralph Cornett, her mother, Martha Cornett, and her daughter, Debra Moore, who have gone before her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted children: Chuck Burch (Cindy), David Burch (Deona), Tammy Dulaney (Steve), and Carlin Burch (Amy). Joan's legacy continues through her 13 cherished grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Jean Hollingsworth and Ronnie Cornett.
