With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janie Durham Bohon Fetter of Roanoke, Virginia, who was born on October 21, 1925, and passed away Friday, April 12, 2024. To have known Janie, was to know love and a life well lived. 98 years might seem like a long time, but it wasn't nearly long enough.

She was predeceased by her late husbands-Calvin Thomas Bohon, and Charles H. Fetter, her siblings-Nancy Darnell, Virginia Dillion, Charles Durham and Hugh R. Durham, and her parents, Mary Hubbard and Theodore R. Durham.

Left to cherish her memory are her 2 sisters, Dorothy Cummings (Dennis), and Eunice Kirby (Tom), and her brother, Theodore Durham (Kathy). Three children: Phyllis Bohon Allen, (Ronald d.) Linda Bohon Taylor (Dorsey) and Calvin Thomas Bohon, Jr. (Sherry d.). Her grandchildren, Todd Allen (Micah), David Allen (Heather), Mark Allen, Linda Taylor Ewell (Page), Martha R. Taylor, Lucy Taylor O'Shields (Stephen), Katherine Kingery, Taylor Bohon (Clay), Tyler Bohon, and many nieces and nephews and great-grandchildren.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Cave Spring Methodist Church (4505 Hazel Dr. Roanoke, VA 24018) at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024. A reception will be held at the reception hall after a short service.
