James Allen Cannon, affectionately known as "Al," passed away on January 27, 2025, in Roanoke, VA, at the age of 65. Born on September 25, 1959, in Abingdon, VA, Al was a lifelong resident of Glade Spring, VA, where he made a lasting impact on his community.

Al was a man of many talents and interests. A skilled mechanic and true jack of all trades, he had a knack for fixing anything that was broken. Whether hunting deer, riding motorcycles, or honing his archery skills, Al loved to spend his time outdoors. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Above all, spending time with his beloved grandson, Xavier, brought him the greatest joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Katie Roberta Tuggle Cannon and James Baxon Cannon, as well as several aunts and uncles.

Al's memory will be cherished by his loving wife, Tammy Ann Creasy Cannon; his daughter, Tanika Marie Gilbert (Dwayne); his grandsons, Xavier and Caspin Gilbert; and his brother, Billy Lee Cannon (Debbie).
