Obituary

Jacqueline Coleman Claxton

September 26, 1945 - April 1, 2021

Jackie went to greet her beloved, Jesus, on April 1, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Newton Coleman, Jr. and Ernestine Hurley Coleman; husband, Burton R. Claxton; and sister, Caroline Tiller.

She is survived by her loving friends and colleagues and will be missed.

Her remains will be spread at Myrtle beach in private at a later time.

A special thanks is offered to her caregivers from Kindred Hospice and Care Advantage for all the  loving care taken of Jackie during this time. Thanks is also offered to the many others who provided a variety of support and encouragement, too.

Jackie was a loving, kind, and hardworking woman. Although she had a voice as stern as the mountain rock and she would tell it like it is and how it was going to be; she was generous and sassy. She was extremely spiritual and gathered her calm and strength going camping or visiting Myrtle Beach, S.C. These were her spiritual retreats in natural sanctuaries where she met the Lord while she lived. She enjoyed listening to self-help and spiritual audio books by authors like Louise L. Hay and Andrew Weil. She was very accepting of others and everyone's way, likes, and dislikes. She had a passion for natural healing, nutrition and wellness. She gave the best hugs and  she had many professions in the medical field. She loved helping people through their difficulties in life and used her Masters degree as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker to bring comfort and peace to those that struggle with anxiety, fear, depression and addiction for the last several years of her working career and will be missed by those who dearly loved her.
