Jacqueline Fuller
Brown
Jun 26, 1946 — Feb 28, 2026
Roanoke
Jacqueline F. Brown, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Robert "Bob" Brown. Jackie was born on June 26, 1946, in Burlington, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Corrie Fuller; her brothers, Ronnie and David; and her sister, Becky.
Jackie spent her early years in Greensboro, North Carolina, before moving to Westminster, South Carolina, in the eighth grade. She was well known and loved during her high school years, serving as a cheerleader and being crowned Homecoming Queen her senior year. It was in Westminster that she met her future husband, Bob Brown.
Following high school, Jackie became a flight attendant with Delta Airlines while Bob attended The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. The two were married one week after Bob's graduation and began their life together as a military family. Their journey included their first assignment in Germany, followed by numerous assignments across the United States and two additional tours in Germany, where they met many lifelong friends.
Throughout their years of military service, Jackie was a devoted wife and mother, lovingly raising their children, Jennifer and Thomas. Family was always her greatest joy, and she cherished the time they spent traveling together, especially the opportunity to explore Europe.
Jackie had a true God-given gift for hospitality and lived it out daily through service to others. She was actively involved in every church community they called home, volunteering generously and caring deeply for those around her.
In 2003, Jackie and Bob retired to Lake Keowee in Seneca, South Carolina, where they enjoyed many happy years before moving to Roanoke in 2015 to be closer to their children and grandchildren.
Jackie is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her daughter, Jennifer (Tim); her son, Thomas (Heather); and her cherished grandchildren, Darielle, Jeremiah, Caleb, Parker, and Karleigh. She will be remembered for her warmth, faith, generosity, and the love she poured into her family and friends.
Jackie's faith was the foundation of her life, and we find comfort in knowing she is now fully healed and joyfully reunited with her Savior.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, at Bonsack Baptist Church. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m., with a meal to follow at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Brandon Oaks/Virginia Lutheran Homes, 3807 Brandon Avenue, Suite 2440, Roanoke, VA 24018 in gratitude for the compassionate care Jackie received while residing in the Brandon Oaks Memory Support Center.
