The Reverend Howard Wayne Dowe, born on June 29, 1948, passed away on August 24, 2024, at the age of 76.

Howard worked for John Hancock Steel, UPS, and Howard Car Care for many years. A devoted member of First Baptist Church Elliston, Jerusalem Church, and Macedonia Baptist Church, he found great joy in fellowshipping with others about the Lord. Howard enjoyed bicycle riding, detailing cars, exercising, and spending time with his loved ones.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph R. Dow, and Mabel Dow; his wife, Edna P. Dowe; his son, Christopher Dowe; and his brother, Douglas Dow.

He leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Timothy Wayne Dowe and Raymond Anthony Dowe (Dana); his grandchildren, Dustin Thompson, Ryan Dowe, Christopher Dowe, and James Dowe; his brothers, Michael Dow, Tony Dowe, and Cornell Dow; his sister, Joyce Simmons; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Elliston with a Visitation at 12 p.m. and the Service to begin at 1 p.m.

Howard's memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.
