Herbert James Campbell, Jr., age 65, affectionately known as Herb, departed this life on January 8, 2023, in Winchester, Virginia. He was born on December 21, 1957, in New York City, New York, to the late Herbert J. Campbell, Sr., and Glenda Campbell.

Herb was employed with Lawrence Fleet Company in Roanoke, Virginia, and Red Cross Disaster Team in Roanoke, Virginia. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, Submarine C-Class. In Herb's spare time, he enjoyed billiards and working on antique cars.

Those left to cherish precious memories are his wife, Denise Campbell; daughters, Letisha Jules and Devine S. Campbell; son, Herbert J. Campbell, III; brother, Alton Campbell; sister, Faith Campbell; four grandchildren, Shaquon, Zhmya, Kaylonnie, and Shalayah; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Keith Campbell.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 28, 2023, at 1:45 p.m. at the chapel of Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Visitation will be held 45 minutes prior to the service.
