On January 21, 2022, death tried to extinguish the light of Harold Ray Martin at the tender age of 87 years young, but his life continues to shine upon all who knew him. Born and raised in Roanoke, Harold stayed local where he met his wife, Kathleen, and built a life together for over 68 years strong. He worked hard all his life and retired from General Electric after 35 years of service. He dedicated his life to his faith and was the best advisor a family could ask for. He was the foundation, the rock on which his family stood and built their success. Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence R. and Pauline Myers Martin; and two brothers, Ronnie and Bobby. He leaves behind a son, David, and a daughter, Debbie (and David Dunbar), Toni who he loved as his own daughter; four grandchildren, Brandon(and Lissa), Devon (and Crystal), Misty, and Courtney; and three great grandchildren, Draven, Ava, and Courtney. There will be a private graveside service to be determined at a later date.
