Emily Whitlock Gery, age 94, of Fincastle, Virginia, beloved wife of the late Charles S. Gery, Sr., passed away in her home on Tuesday, December 1, 2021. She was born on December 11, 1926, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to the late George and Emma Whitlock. She resided in Fairfield County for 30 years. She lived in Cleveland, Ohio, and Gainesville, Florida for over a decade in each. Emily was a former member of the United Church of Christ, Bridgeport. She was a licensed beautician and cosmetologist who also worked in Bridgeport's various industries, including Remington Rand and Harvey Hubbell.

She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Mildred Tweedie, Ruth VanWagner, Dorothy Anderson, and two brothers, George and Harold Whitlock. Emily is survived by her son Dr. Charles S. Gery, Jr. of Fincastle, Virginia, daughter-in-law Tina, granddaughter Holly; and several nieces and nephews.
