Ellen Darlene Jennings, affectionately known as Darlene, passed away on August 14, 2026, in Roanoke, Virginia. She was born on April 28, 1957, in Bluefield, West Virginia, to the late Robert Jack Dillard and Pauline Francis Witt Dillard.

Darlene married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Wayne Jennings, and together they shared 53 beautiful years built on devotion, faith, and unwavering love. A devoted Christian, she found deep comfort in reading her Bible and spent countless hours in prayer. Her faith guided every part of her life, and she served faithfully as a dedicated member of her church.

Darlene was a proud homemaker who poured her heart into caring for her family and creating a warm, welcoming home. She also spent many years working as a housekeeper and caring for the elderly, offering compassion, patience, and dignity to those she served.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Robert Wayne Jennings; her son, Jeffery A. Jennings (Carrie Anderson); her daughter, Vickie J. Breedlove (William A. Breedlove, Jr.); and her treasured grandchildren, Cadence, Cora, Grace, and Daisy. She is also survived by her sisters, Francis Sheppard (Darryl) and Connie Sheets (Larry), along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who loved her dearly.
