Elizabeth Martin Dickson , affectionately known as " Jean ," age 87, of Salem, Virginia, departed this life on June 2, 2023, at Lewis Gale Medical Center. She was born on February 28, 1936, to the late Charlie Martin and Tullia Mae Smith Martin.

Jean was one of the most compassionate people you could ever meet. She loved caring for others, often putting the needs of others before herself. She enjoyed baking and canning.

Those left to cherish precious memories are her two sons, Michael Martin (June), Roger Dickson (Martha), and Douglas Dickson; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

There will be no service held, per Jean's request.
