Elizabeth Richelle Angell, affectionately known as "Boogs," passed away on April 4, 2026. She was born on September 14, 1968, in Portsmouth, Virginia.

Elizabeth spent much of her career in cosmetology, where doing hair was her true passion. Over the last 10 years, she worked with the public in the restaurant industry, where her personality and warmth touched many. She loved singing karaoke with her daughters at the karaoke bar, where she would sing her heart out. She had recently joined Layman Church, where she worshipped her Lord. Elizabeth had a big heart and would help anyone who needed it, often opening her doors to those in need. She especially cherished her grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as "MeeMoo," and truly worshipped the ground they walked on. Whenever they called, she ran, always there for them without hesitation.

She was preceded in death by her father, Elmer Richard Carter, Sr.; her mother, Isabel Claire Cannon; her true love, Winston Franklin Angell; and her brother, Elmer Richard Carter, Jr., "Lil Richie."

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Frankie Page (William), Rebecca Saunders (Kevin), and Elizabeth Kayla Angell; her grandchildren, Lanyah Young, Rayan Young, Jr., Emma Young, and Kysaiah Saunders; her sisters, Cordelia Bramlett and Marsha Dell; her childhood best friends, Kimberly "Kim" Hutchinson and Melissa "Missy" Simmons; and many additional family members and friends. The family extends a special thank you to Patricia "Bam Bam" White.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 10, 2026, at 4 p.m. at Crossroads Community Church, 565 Bonbrook Mill Road, Rocky Mount, Virginia 24151, with Pastor Ricky Smithers officiating.
