Elisha Belle Compton, age 42, of New Castle, Virginia, passed away on January 6, 2023. She was born on October 15, 1980, in Salem, Virginia, to Harrison Ray Compton and the late Virginia Hutchinson Compton.

Elisha loved life and spreading love to all her family and friends. She enjoyed traveling and experiencing new places and things, with her mother, whom she loved dearly. She also had a special love for butterflies and dolphins.

Those left to cherish her precious memory are her father, Harrison Ray Compton; special aunt, Patsy Greenway; special cousin, Lena Hutchinson Lendsey; special friends, Meshell, Jess, and Virgil (Marti) Young; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends .

In addition to her mother, Virginia Compton, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Annie and Buford Hutchinson; and paternal grandparents, Clara Bell and Patton Compton.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Craig Valley Baptist Church in New Castle, Virginia; with David Looney as officiant. Visitation will be held one hour prior at noon.
