Dranda Michelle Persiani Lewis, of Montvale, left this earth on October 2, 2022, at the age of 53.

Dranda, affectionately known as Dee, was born in Hagerstown, Maryland, on January 27, 1969, to Jackie Louis Persiani and the late Dranda Marie Mooney.

Dee was preceded in death by her husband, William David Lewis; her grandmother, Dolly Marie Persiani; her grandfather, Louis Persiani; her grandfather, Charles Welzia Wyatt; and her mother, Dranda Marie Mooney.

Dee was a history teacher for 13 years between southern West Virginia and southwestern Virginia and a former softball coach. She was a mentor to the students and had many students that were very fond of her. Dee had a passion for human equality and advocated heavily. Some of her favorite hobbies were spending time with her family and friends, laying in the sun, dancing to her favorite music, and going to the movies.

Those left to cherish Dee's lovely memory are her grandmother, Ethel Marie Wyatt; her father, Jackie Louis Persiani; her step-mother, Bessie Marie Persiani; her brother, Jackie Louis Persiani, Jr.; her step-father, Stacey Lane Mooney; her son, Muhannad Brandon Blake Lewis; her daughter-in-law, Suad Abas Abdisamad; her grandsons, Tyran William Blake Lewis, and Connor Reece Lewis; her granddaughters, Layan Muhannad, and Yasmin Muhannad; her son, David Wayne Michael Lewis; her daughter-in-law, Angela Nomecha Lewis; her daughter, Dranda Angelique Lewis; her grandsons, Malachi Jerrell Steptoe, and Mathias King Lewis; and her granddaughter, Dranda Arabella Grace Steptoe.

The location of services will be on Windmill Gap Mountain in Mercer County, West Virginia, at a date and time to be announced.
