Douglas Allen Lynskey, Jr.,  "Doug", age 50, of Vinton, VA passed away peacefully  on April 09 , 2021. He was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Scott Lynskey; and grandparents, Hazel and Jim Lynskey, and Corinne and Eugene Pugh.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Joy Renee` Lynskey; children, Michael Thierry and Steven Philpott; grandchildren, Abigail Philpott and Ezra Thierry; parents, Douglas Allen and Connie Pugh Lynskey; siblings, Melissa Broughman (Brian) and Teresa and Tamara Lynskey; beloved dogs, Abby, Apollo, and Axl; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends and co-workers of SEMCO + Sheet Metal Workers #100 with special thanks to Christian Thomason, beloved friend.

Doug was a hard worker and passionate man. He was highly intelligent and enjoyed music, podcasts by Joe Rogan, and the Green Bay Packers. He was also a master mechanic in his spare time. He looked out for kids in his neighborhood and loved taking care of his family, especially his grandkids. Anyone who ever needed help could count on him to lend a hand. He was loved more than he knew.
