Douglas McArthur, 47, passed away unexpectedly the morning of April 30, 2021. He was born December 12 ^th 1972 in Norton, Virginia. Survived by mother, Vera McArthur; and partner, Logan Smith. He was predeceased by father, Sonny "Edward" McArthur.

Douglas, who everyone knew by Doug, was a jack-of-all trades. He was a country man who loved raising chickens, turkeys, ducks, and any animal that he could get his hands on. He was so good with animals; he had everything from a raccoon, to a baby deer, to a skunk. He was a mountain man who lived in the city so, at any chance he got, he would drive to the woods or anywhere rural to camp or just enjoy nature. He was an honorable man who would have given someone the shirt off his back. From computer building to chicken breeding, he was a master of many things and achieved a lot in his life. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him.
