DorothyAnn Hayes, affectionately known as Dotti, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, in Daleville, Virginia, at the age of 81, following a courageous three-year battle with dementia. Born on April 30, 1943, Dotti was a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Dotti dedicated her career to accounting, bookkeeping, and tax preparation. Her commitment to her work was matched only by her love for playing cards, games, and watching game shows. A pillar of strength for her family, Dotti instilled a remarkable work ethic in her children and served as the rock of her family. Her legacy of love, dedication, and perseverance will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Leo J. Schweppe and Mary A. Schweppe, and most recently by her beloved husband, Thomas Arthur Hayes, Jr.

Dotti leaves behind to cherish her memory her brothers, Jim Schweppe and Paul Schweppe; her four children, Lisa Marie, Thomas A. Hayes III, Timothy Patrick Hayes, and Todd-Michael Hayes; her eight grandchildren, Justin, Jamie, Jesse, Connor, Brianna, Sierra, Joshua, and Lancelot; and her great-grandson, Raiden.

A memorial service to honor Dotti's life will be held at a later date at Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home in Granby, Connecticut. Interment will take place at St. Bernard's Church Cemetery in Simsbury, Connecticut.
