Donna Ann Cary Gibson, "Nannie", went home to be with our Lord and to be reunited with her dearly departed husband, John, on March 25, 2021. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Donald George Cary and Martha Elizabeth Bowles Gibson; her brother, Leonard Cary, Sr.; with husband, John Robert Gibson.

She is survived by  her loving children, Robby Gibson and Wendy Blankenship; grandchildren, Michael, John, Chris, Robert II , Autumn and Jarromy; great-grandchildren, Aries (her best friend) , Serenity, Harley, and Bentley, brother, Mike Cary and his family in Texas; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Vivian Cox-Ellison and Brenda Reed; and her pets, Gizmo, Little Bit and Elle.

Donna always spoke her mind and she was a very loving and generous person. If someone needed something, she would give it-even if her needs were greater. She lived righteously and did not go above her means; she lived honestly. she was a great cook and people loved her meat loaf and grilled steaks. She made the best éclair cake  anyone ever tasted. She enjoyed a coffee and being outside. Above all she loved her family: her husband, children and grandchildren. People loved her for her kindness and doted on her. She loved watching the sunsets as the sun dipped below the water and waves crashed upon the beach at Myrtle Beach, SC. Her remains will be scattered there. May she rest in joyful peace with her beloved husband.
