Donald "Donnie" Wimmer, 71, of Vinton, Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2025. He was born on August 25, 1953, in Norfolk, Virginia.

Donnie was known for his kind heart, strong faith, and deep devotion to his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Barbara Hall.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Lenora Wimmer; his children, Lauren Wimmer, Amanda Janney, and Scott Hannon (Krystal); and his grandchildren, Serene, TJ, Ryan, Alex, Becca, Will, Alexis, Chris, Ethan, and Liz. His legacy of love, warmth, and resilience will live on through them all.

A memorial service celebrating Donnie's life will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Apostolics of Roanoke (3110 Pioneer Rd., Roanoke, VA 24012), officiated by Pastor Tony Rand. A meal will be served following the service as friends and family gather to honor his memory.
