Mr. Donald Ray Horne, Sr., of Roanoke, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2021, at the age of 82. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Horne, and his second wife, Ellen Horne as well as his parents David & Roberta Horne. Mr. Horne retired as a truck driver from Smith's Transfer in the late 1980s and shortly after opened his own business, Supply & Salvage, located in Hardy. He had a passion for helping people, working outdoors, vintage cars, and was an avid western fan. Those left to cherish Mr. Horne's memory are his son, Donny Horne; his daughter, Tammy Prime and her husband, Steve Prime; his grandchildren, Garrett Prime and Kristin Horne; his great-grandchild, Lydia Horne; siblings, Pauline Hurd, Joyce Abbott, Billy Horne, Betty Hughes, David Horne, and Doug Horne. In lieu of a graveside service, there will be a Celebration of Life held on Sunday, November 21, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Coopers Cove Community Center. (37 Penick Place, Hardy, VA 24101)
