Dona Sue Wilkerson, of Goodview, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at the age of 53.

Dona was born to the late Rosa Lee Grupa and Frank Willis Walker in San Antonio, Texas.

Dona is also preceded in death by her sisters, Jolyn Gerber and Patty Cameron; her brother, Stephen Walker; and her in-laws, Marlene and Larry Wilkerson.

Dona was a loving daughter, sister, wife, and mother. She always made a home-cooked meal for her family that everyone enjoyed. She loved traveling to Tennessee, Florida, and her home state of Texas. She enjoyed puzzles and fishing her favorite spot on Smith Mountain Lake. She was also an avid reader of romance novels and wouldn't miss her soap operas.

Those left to cherish Dona's memory are her husband, Bryon Jay Wilkerson; daughters, Priscilla Anne Longoria and Meadow Star Wilkerson; her sister, Diane Walker; her brother, James Walker; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will begin accepting friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. for visitation at Valley Funeral Home Chapel. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens beginning at 2 p.m.
