Derrick Rivera, 57, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on June 7, 2026. He was born on June 5, 1969, in Brooklyn, New York.

Derrick worked as an automobile mechanic for many years, using his skill and knowledge to help others through his trade.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Dinorah Rivera, and his father, Anibal Rivera.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Maria Frausto-Contreras, and Jose Frausto-Rivera.

Derrick will be deeply missed by his family and loved ones.
