Dennis "Denny" Monroe Hodge, affectionately known as "Oink," gained his eternal reward on July 24, 2026, at the age of 72.
Denny was preceded in death by daughter Holly Kate Hodge, his parents, James and Dorothy Hodge, and by his wife, Barbara Sprouse Noell Hodge.

A graduate of Blacksburg High School and the Diesel Mechanic School, Denny built a long and dedicated career as a service mechanic, working at Radford Arsenal, RSC–Salem, and United Rentals before his retirement.

Denny made Jesus the Lord of his life at an early age and lived a life marked by humility, service, and devotion. He faithfully attended Vinton Church of Christ, where he served as an elder and teacher, pouring his heart into ministry and encouraging others in their walk with Christ.

Denny is survived by children Andrew Hodge-Gasque (Marc) and his son Kade Hodge-Pinion, Justin Hodge (Candice) and their children Kailey, Trenton, Eden and Eli, Katie Acord (Matt Moran) and their children Holly, Haven, and Levi Acord-Moran; and Micah Quinn. Also, daughter Dulcie (Michael) Loyd and their children, Brittany (Chris) Scott; and Brandon Loyd those who lovingly called him Grandpa, Ava, Emerson, and Elowyn Scott; Jackie and Michael Hodge and their children, Tiffany (Winston) Rodroguez, Leah, (Ben), and Leighton Jones, and Courtney Hodge; siblings Terry (Mandy) Hodge, Gary (Wanda) Hodge, David (Joyce) Hodge, Teresa (Wade) Snavely, Pam Hodge, and Becky Meadows and a host of extended family members and friends who cherished him.

Services will be held on August 15, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Christian Church, 305 3rd St. SW, Christiansburg, VA 24073, and on August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Vinton Church of Christ, 2107 Feather Rd., Vinton, VA 24179.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vinton Church of Christ in Denny's honor.
