Debbie Lemon Turenne, of Roanoke, peacefully passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at the age of 63.
Debbie was born on December 30, 1958, to Thomas Jefferson and Cynthia Ida Meador Lemon.
Debbie loved NASCAR racing and enjoyed going to Franklin County races with her two sons. She also enjoyed concerts at the Salem Farmer's Market with her sister. Her favorite program on television was Judge Judy. Debbie worked in the nutrition department for Roanoke County Schools for many years. She never turned down a cold Dr. Pepper. Debbie was very generous, taking in anyone who needed a place to stay. She loved animals and took in as many strays as James would let her. The family looks forward to seeing her again, the Bible promises a resurrection at John 5:28,29.
"Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life.
Those left to cherish Debbie's memory are her husband, James Turenne; her sons, Patrick and Robert Arnold; her sister, Rita Mountcastle (Steve); her grandchildren, Caralee Arnold Dooley and Daniel Allen Martin; and her nieces, Renae Willoughby and Rachel Mountcastle.
Debbie was a dear mother, wife, and sister and will be missed by her family dearly. She will also be missed by her feisty chihuahua "Boo Boo".
