Deanna Grinnell Sheppard, of Salem, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022, at the age of 70.

Deanna was born in Wytheville, Virginia on March 4, 1952, to L.O. Grinnell Jr. and the late Doris Grinnell.

Deanna is also preceded in death by her brother, Leithan Grinnell III.

Deanna was a kind and caring woman. She volunteered with the Community Christmas Store for over 27 years. She has also been a board member of the Community Christmas Store since 2005, helping families for years. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Those left to cherish her memory are her father; her husband of 46 years, Ronnie Sheppard; her daughter, Jessica Sheppard (Robert Hutton); her son, Andy Sheppard (Rima Nasser); her grandchildren, Madison Brimmer, Ziad Sheppard, and Rami Sheppard; her sister, Felica Huff (Ray Huff); her brother, Sean Grinnell (Emily Grinnell); her sister-in-law, Lisa Grinnell; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial to celebrate the life of Deanna will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at Fellowship Community Church in Salem, Virginia at 3 p.m. with the family receiving friends for 2 hours prior, to be officiated by Pastor Ken Nienke.
