Dean Jayhue Davis, of Moneta, Virginia, born September 7, 1963, passed away on November 1, 2021, at the age of 58.

Dean is preceded in death by his father, Clinton Jayhue Davis; mother, Della Jean Boley; and brother, Douglas Jay Davis.

Dean was a 2nd generation master brick mason who took pride in doing what he loved and did well. You could often find him shooting pool with his buddies at the bar and playing fetch with his buddy, Tobe. He was famous for eating and then taking a nap to get his "2nd wind", as he called it. Dean was loved by all and a friend to many. Honey, I hope there are Queen Machines up there for you to gamble; because then I know you are truly in Heaven. I will love and miss you as long as I have a breath in me.

Those left to cherish Dean's memory are the love of his life, his wife, Deborah Denise Davis; his stepmother, Dinah Davis; his sister Dinia Pease; his brother Dennis Boley; his son, Tommy Graham, and family; niece and nephews; best friends, CJ, Greg Peters, June Bug, Alice Henderson, Lisa Wright, Sandy Leher, and Angie and Stony; and all of his beloved family of friends at Chaps Tavern and everywhere else.

A non-formal Celebration of Dean's Life will be held at 7:00 p.m on Friday, November 5, 2021, at Valley Funeral Home where family and friends are encouraged to speak in Dean's memory. The family will begin receiving friends one hour prior.
