Dawn Renee Campbell

September 6, 1960 - January 3, 2025

Dawn had a big heart and was a loving, caring friend to many. She graduated with a degree from National Business College and worked in various jobs including managing her own day-care, Mac's a restaurant owned by her father, Abbott's restaurant, and AMVETs where she served as President of the Women's AMVETS along with her husband who serves as president of the local chapter. She loved children and helped raise her grandchildren. She loved "Peanut's" cartoon.

She is preceded in death by her father Jasper Jones, mother, Sandra Simmons, stepfather Jack Simmons, and adopted sister, Dreama Shell.

She is survived by her husband Mark Campbell, children Mark, (Tony) Campbell, Erica Blankenship, and Amelia Campbell, grandchildren Jasper and Camile, Kingston, Naomi, and Ava, sisters, Joy, and Yvette Jones, best friend Faye Fortune, Stepbrother Jesse Simmons, niece Emma Jones, nephews, Shawn Patrick Troy, Brandon Jones, sister in law, Cindy Doss and her husband, Steven Doss,  an aunt, uncles, many dear cousins, and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on February 15th at AMVETS Post 40 911 Tazewell Ave, S.E. Roanoke, VA 24013 from 12-2 p.m.
