David Cecil Yates, of Nathalie, Virginia, left his Earth on November 24, 2022, at the age of 82.

David was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and hardly ever missed a game on television. He also loved to fish.

He is preceded in death by his sons, Donald Yates (Mary), and Daniel Yates.

Those left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren, Michael Yates, Gracie Yates, Amanda Thornhill, and Justice Yates; and his great-grandchildren, Blake, Jakob, Lance, Lennox, Lainey, Maverick, Ariah, Haven, Bayleigh, Tanner, and Rowan.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced when finalized.
