David Glenn Smith, born on October 8, 1950, in Kimberly, West Virginia, peacefully departed this world on December 14, 2023, in Daleville, Virginia.

A devoted patriot, David served with honor in the United States Army, notably in the Airborne Division. Following his military service, he contributed his skills to the construction industry for many fulfilling years.

David is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin G. Smith and Lorene F. Smith; and his brother, Jerry R. Smith.

Left to cherish the memories of a life well-lived are his loving daughter, Michelle L. Newman; his cherished grandchildren, Austin D. Lubosch and Jayden T. Lee; and his siblings, Karen S. Toscano, Diana S. Hatter, and John E. Smith.

A Celebration of Life to honor and remember David's legacy will be held at a later date, providing an opportunity for family and friends to gather, share stories, and pay their respects.
