David Wayne Johnson, affectionately known as "Buck," passed away on May 24, 2023, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial. He was born on November 20, 1965, in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Wilton Salmons and Brenda Barton Salmons.

David was a truck driver and enjoyed traveling from state to state; his favorite state to visit was Montana. He loved listening to music and watching tv; especially Nascar races. He also enjoyed working on cars and making people laugh.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Tonja Johnson; daughter, Megan Johnson; one uncle, Buddy Barton; one aunt, Sharon Craig (Dave); and his granddaughter who was his heartbeat, Anayshia Whitten.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
