Daniel Eugene Montgomery of Roanoke left this Earth on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at the age of 51.
Daniel is preceded in death by his father, Leo Douglas Montgomery, Sr.; his grandparents, Robert and Lillian Boothe, and James and Eunice Montgomery; his cousins, William David Boothe, Robert and Elma Roberts, Terry B. Wolfe, and Lisa Reene Painter; and his nephew, Kevin Lyle.
Daniel worked in Roanoke Food and Produce for many years. He loved music and football. His favorite team was from his favorite city, the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was also the lead singer for the band "Sudden Dismissal" which has opened for bands such as Alice in Chains and Guns N' Roses. Daniel's favorite drink was gin and juice. His passion was welding, and he worked for Roanoke Welding and Clarke Brothers Welding for 10 years. He also worked for KME for roughly 17 years. He was married to Robin Lynn Currin for over 20 years as well.
Those left to cherish Daniel's memory are his mother, Shirely Ann Boothe Montgomery; his son, Morgan Montgomery; his daughter, Hanna Hall; his grandson, Halyn Hall; his brother, Leo Douglas Montgomery, Jr. (Judy); his sisters, Cynethia Ann Lyle (Tony, Jr.) and Dani Lyle; his nephews, Kevil and Auston Lyle; and his nieces, Ashley Montgomery, and Paige Montgomery.
