Daniel (Dan) Lee Breighner, 72 years, passed away on May 31, 2021. Dan, formerly from Red Lion, PA, resided in Daleville, VA. Dan was born September 23, 1949 in Norfolk, VA. He was the second child of Doris and Harvey Breighner, who preceded his death. Dan attended Red Lion High School, class of 1968 and was an accomplished athlete in football, basketball, and baseball. He lived a full and active life, was an avid hunter, and motorcyclist. Nearing the end of his life he was a devout Christian. Dan was retired from Southern States Cooperative in Cloverdale, VA., as Manager of Dispatch for several years. Dan is survived by his brother Michael and his wife Cathy from SC., his sister Christina Breighner Hurst, her daughter Heather and granddaughter Rachel from York, PA., and her son Ian from Griffin, GA., his daughter Tracie and granddaughter Rheanna Pesotine from Duryea, PA., his daughter Lesha Breighner from York, Pa., his son Chase and stepdaughter Sarah from Daleville, VA. A memorial service will be held at Chanceford Alliance Church in Felton, PA., on Sunday June 27 ^th from 2 - 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association via online, and/or Carrington Place in Daleville, VA 24083.
