It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Daisy Belle Wendell, of Troutville, Virginia, who passed away on June 8, 2026. She was born on March 10, 1950, in Fayette County, West Virginia.

Daisy was a woman who found joy in the simple, quiet moments of life. She never sought the spotlight, preferring a private existence focused on taking care of her home and pets. Although her health more recently prevented her from attending the local Kingdom Hall, she continued to practice her faith daily. Her final moments on this earth were spent reading scriptures. Daisy lived life entirely on her own terms and in her own way. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed hearing what they were doing in their day-to-day lives.

She will be deeply missed by her family.

Daisy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Maynard D. Wendell; her brother, David Parker; and her granddaughter, Arlana J. Bagby.

Those left to cherish her memory include her sisters, Sarah McClung and Louise Tolley; her children, Anthony Wendell, Timothy Wendell, Bethany Wendell, Amy Wendell-Gibson, April Schembri-Pierce and Joseph Wendell; her grandchildren, Heather Kenniston, James Gibson, Sarah Thomas, Carmen Schembri-Robles, Sophia Schembri, Mariana Schembri, Mia Schembri, Krissy, Kandas Rosser and Megan Grissom; and her great-grandchildren, Isaac, Noah, Casey, Trystan, Sophia, Rona, Keldan, Maeve, Theodore and Baby Thomas, due in July.

A celebration of Daisy's life will be held at a later date.
