Connie Jean Walker Beheler, 81, passed from death to everlasting life on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Jeanette Walker; her husband, Robert Lacy Beheler; her son, Robert Lee Beheler; her stepdaughter, Julie Smith; and her sister, Phyllis Throckmartin.

Connie is survived by her daughter, Robyn Yearout (Clonnie); her son, James "Rocky" Henson (Pat); stepdaughter, Janice Hall; brothers, Bobby Walker (Monica), Warren Walker (Joyce); and sister, Brenda Barr. Connie is also survived by four grandchildren whom she lovingly nicknamed, "Tink, Tuffy, Boo, and Sugar Puds," as well as several great-grandchildren.

Connie loved her family dearly, and she was known for giving people she loved nicknames. Connie had a nickname too ("Maw Maw") and she was the very best of Maw Maws. From camping in Bath County to dying Easter eggs, to fishing, to painting ceramics, to swimming in her backyard pool on hot Summer days, Maw Maw was the absolute best. Her fun-loving, kind-hearted, and joy-filled legacy will live on in those left to cherish her memory.

Connie was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, and she unashamedly proclaimed the gospel to anyone with a listening ear. Connie looked forward with great anticipation to seeing her Savior face to face.

The family would like to thank the staff of Carilion Clinic Hospice, especially Pam ("Legs") and Laurie ("Moose"), as well as the staff of Our Lady of the Valley for their care at the end of Connie's life. Funeral services will be held privately.
