Clara Joann Kilpatrick Porter, born July 12, 1932, passed away May 30, 2022. For the last three and half years, she lived at Joseph C Thomas Center at Richfield, Salem, Virginia where the staff loved and cared for her. Joann had a long and varied career in nursing; enjoyed boating and fishing with her husband, Ralph. She was the daughter of Foster and Mary Kilpatrick of Newport, Ohio. Joann was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph W. Porter; and her son, Mark Porter (Ginny) of Dover, Ohio. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Porter Garland (Tom) of Roanoke, Va; and grandchildren, Cate Porter Fioritto (T.J.) of Kent, Ohio; Marty Garland( Joann); Shannon Garland (Kristin); and five great grandchildren all of Roanoke, Va.
