Cindy Leigh Grisso, 67, of Roanoke, Virginia fell asleep in Christ on Wednesday July 22, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Marlene Bowman Grisso and Charlie B. Grisso Jr. She is survived by her sister, Connie R. Grisso of Roanoke, Virginia; her brother, Greg A. Grisso of Asheboro, NC; and many family members and friends, whose lives she touched with her kindness, creativity, and care.

Cindy was raised in the Seventh-Day Adventist faith and attended Oxford Elementary School, Shenandoah Valley Academy where she graduated with the Class of 1977, and Southern Missionary College in Collegedale, Tennessee. She worked in many dissimilar roles through her life, including time as an LPN. Change was common for Cindy. At each change she formed meaningful relationships and left a lasting impression on those who knew her. She had a compassionate heart and genuinely valued the people she served and loved. Beyond her professional life, she was a gifted artist and musician who loved playing the guitar and singing. Her creativity found expression in physical imaginative arts, and she took great joy in sharing her work with others, often creating thoughtful gifts for those she loved.

Though she will be deeply missed, those who loved her find comfort in the promise of Christ's return to redeem those who are sleeping in His arms. Her soul has returned to Him, and He will wake her to eternal life on that day to live with Him forever in heaven free from all pain, sorrow, and death.

A celebration of life for Cindy will be held on Sunday, August 9, 2026, at the Fellowship Hall of the Roanoke SDA Church (4120 Challenger Ave. NE Roanoke, VA 24012), beginning at 4 p.m.
