Chauntel Renee Cole, of Bedford County, Virginia, departed this life on March 13, 2024. She was born on May 5, 1985, in Bedford County, Virginia.

Chauntel found fulfillment in her work, displaying a deep passion for caring for the elderly and engaging with her community through her job at a convenience store. Raised in the Lutheran faith, she exemplified compassion and kindness, always extending a helping hand to friends, family, and even strangers in need.

Chauntel was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents, R. Kenneth Cole, Sr., and Billie Lou Mays Cole, affectionately known as Nana; and the love of her life, Rik Rodriguez.

Left to cherish her memory are her devoted mother, Anne Cole; her precious children, Jude and Rigby Rodriguez, and Riiot; her brothers, Jeremy Durham and Hunter Cole; her sister, Taylor Cole; special nephew, Gavin Durham (Angela) and nephew, Liam Cole; very special niece, Madisyn Durham, and niece, Ella Cole; very special aunt, MaryBeth Cole Egas (Larry) and aunt, Linda Cole Ray (Kim); special uncle, William "Cam" Cole (Donna), and uncle, Robert "Bob" Cole, Jr. (Charlene) and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on March 26, 2024, at Valley Funeral Home Chapel from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The family requests that everyone dress casually, as Chauntel would've wanted.
