Charlotte Jean Ridgeway Hamlin, of Salem, Virginia, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026. She was born on July 22, 1950, in Roanoke, Virginia.

Charlotte was a caring and compassionate woman who was deeply involved in helping her family, neighbors, and friends in any way she could. She was always willing to lend a hand, offer support, or simply be there when someone was in need. Her family was especially important to her, and she was a great help and steady presence to those she loved throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Ridgeway; her stepmother, Jean Ridgeway; her mother, Amanda Lamb; her husband, Daniel Hamlin; and her sisters, Rachell Howell and Sherry Tolbert.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Brenda Huggett (Russell); her grandsons, Gavin Huggett and Wesley Huggett; her sisters, Rose Alexander and Vickie Campbell; and her nieces and nephews.
