Charlie went to be with his First Love, Jesus Christ, on March 7, 2022, at the age of 67.  He proudly served his country as a Marine.  He worked at the Salem VA Medical Center as a computer specialist for 30 years and retired on August 31, 2021.

He was deeply loved by his wife of 25 years, Suzanne (Bohon) Hamilton.  He also leaves behind children:  Charly Hamilton of Irvine, Kentucky and Dawn Hamilton of Berea, Kentucky; Joshua Hamilton and Kalie Hamilton of Christiansburg, Virginia; stepchildren Hollie Craig and Troy Craig of Salem, Virginia.  He has nine grandchildren.

Charlie lived his life abiding in Christ and leading others into an intimate relationship with Jesus through his awesome praise and worship music.  This man of God was valued and honored by many.  He was a psalmist, apostolic partner, and prophetic leader.  Charlie ran his race with endurance and unwavering faith. He is resting now in the wraparound presence of Jesus.

"Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things.  Enter into the joy of your Lord."  Matthew 25:21

Closed casket visitation will be held at noon, Thursday, March 10, 2022, at Valley Funeral Home, 1609 Peters Creek Road, Roanoke; a celebration of life will follow at 1:00 pm. The graveside service is at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.  In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Charlie's honor to his church to help spread the gospel: Restoration Rivers, 148 Southwood Lane, Boones Mill, VA  24065.
