Charles Alexander Fogus, Jr., affectionately known as "Chuck," passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. He was born on May 16, 1946.

Chuck was employed as a floor director for newscasts at WDBJ7 TV until his health declined. He was an alumnus of William Fleming High School, Class of 1964, and a graduate of the University of North Carolina. He later earned his Master of Business degree from the University of Virginia. Chuck had many interests, including cooking and hosting friends for get-togethers, gardening both indoors and out, and helping others, especially with computers. He also enjoyed listening to music.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles A. Fogus, Sr., and his mother, Irene M. Fogus.

Those left to cherish his memory include his cousin, George Vogel; his childhood friend, Mike Dodd; his caregiver, Diane Tuttle; and many other friends with whom he enjoyed sharing stories of the past.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Greene Memorial United Methodist Church, 402 2nd St SW, Roanoke, VA 24011, beginning at 2:30 p.m., with a visitation thirty minutes prior and the Reverend Joanna Paysour officiating.
