Charles (Tommy) Thomas Fisher, age 83, of Roanoke, VA passed away on December 16, 2022. He was born on November 27, 1939, in Austinville, VA, to the late Elbert Joseph Fisher and Cene Bell Melton.

Charles was united in marriage to Marita Bennett in February 1982; he was a wonderful husband and father to his children.

Charles served in the United States Navy from January 1963 to February 1965 and was honorable discharged; he loved his country and proudly served. He was a member of the Moose Lodge. Charles enjoyed watching game shows such as J eopardy, Wheel of Fortune, and Family Feud; he also enjoyed watching Nascar races. Charles loved to travel, and play his guitar and banjo. He was a hardworking man who was loved and respected by everyone he encountered.

Those left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted wife, Marita Fisher; children, Erik Bennett, Tina Arthur, and Cindy Fisher; six grandchildren; brother, Michael Fisher, and sister, Lou Blakenship; fur babies that he loved dearly, Fat Boy and Baby; and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to his mother and father, he was proceeded in death by his siblings, Charlotte, Anna, and Audrey; and special nephew, Ducky.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 3 p.m. at the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, 5550 Bagging Plant Rd. Dublin, Virginia with full military rites.
